Summer Melon with Mint Sugar

My oldest werewolf saw this idea somewhere and suggested it the other day. He couldn’t remember where he read it so we take no credit for this one. It is super easy and really good. If he could have been drug away from Kirby Mass Attack I would have made him fix it himself but my hired goons had the day off so I let him be. You will need:

1 seedless watermelon (I used personal sized but you size it to how many people you are feeding)

1 cantaloupe

1 cup of sugar

4 to 5 mint leaves

You could add honeydew if you like or any other kind of melon but the watermelon is really good this way. So first take the sugar and mint and put them into either a blender or a food processor. Pulse them until the leaves are ground up into the mint. Below you can see the difference in the food processor kind on the left and blender on the right. The blender produces a powdered sugar consistency and does not turn green overnight so take this into consideration depending on what you are looking for. I liked the green of the food processed sugar so that is what I used. The other sugar was deemed fit for consuming on strawberries by my middle werewolf.

Now the second step is to use a melon baller on your melons. If you don’t have one then just cube up the melons. Last step is to serve with the sugar. You can either use a hollowed out melon half and serve as a salad or skewer the pieces.
